20% is pretty awesome (compared to near 40% at NAMC according to DHS). Doulas reduce the risk of C-section by 50%. Do you guys think that your lower C-section rate is due to the fact that you recommend doulas to every mother in your practice? Or perhaps I (as a doula) shouldn't be taking credit for your being such great doctors/midwives in the first place for embracing a different kind of labor and delivery. :) Our stats for September are here http://www.getbabied.com/2010-10-18/labor-stats-through-october-15th (with a good portion of the mamas in our n patients of yours....) :) AS.
